THEORETICAL MECHANICS
The purpose of this course is to present an account of Newtonian mechanics and its applications. It is very useful to students taking courses in physics, engineering, mathematics and in general any field which needs its formulation or the basic principles of mechanics. Numerous proofs of theorems and derivations of basic results are included in the solved problems. Topics encompassed the statics, kinetics and dynamics of a particle, systems of particles and rigid body. Added features are the chapters on Lagrange's equations and Hamiltonian theory which provide other equivalent formulation of Newtonian mechanics and great practical and theoretical value etc.

FLUID MECHANICS
Fluid mechanics is a section of applied mechanics. It concerned with the statics and dynamics of liquids and gases. A knowledge of fluid mechanics is an essential part for the chemical engineer since the majority of chemical processing operations are conducted either partially or totally in the fluid phase. The handling of liquids is simpler and much less troublesome than solids. Even in many operations a solid is handled in a finely divided state so that it stays in suspension in a fluid. The main sections encompass:
Fluid Statics: Treatment of fluids in the equilibrium state of no shear stress
Fluid Mechanics: Which treats when portions of fluid are in motion relative to other parts
